Roofers hired by the HOA failed to properly protect the roof during the process of replacing roofs on the block of units. This resulted in water infiltration to our unit when rainfall occurred before the new roof was installed. Citizens denied our claim citing there is no coverage for faulty workmanship of the roofer, despite our HO6 Condo Policy also having the HO 17 32 Condo Special Coverage endorsement which changes our policy from a Named Perils policy to an All Risk Except Otherwise Excluded policy. The HO 17 32 clearly states that while "Faulty Workmanship" is excluded, if there is "Ensuing Water Damage" as a result of that event, coverage is afforded. We are not asking Citizens to repair the roof. That's a matter for the HOA to address. We are claiming the subsequent ensuing water damage sustained to our property and we are very disappointed that the carrier has not taken the time to properly address the coverage.
