Welcome to PLCR Help

Introduction

The Professional Liability Claims Reporting System (PLCR) was developed in spring of 2004 to replace the Insurer Closed Claims System (ICCS) and provide additional aggregate reporting capabilities not available in ICCS.

PLCR allows insurers and/or self-insured medical facilities doing business in the state of Florida to electronically submit closed claims and aggregate reporting information to the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS).  Insurers using PLCR can prepare and submit Directors & Officers Liability (D&O), Lawyers Professional Liability (LPL), and Medical Professional Liability (MPL) forms.

PLCR Help provides step-by-step instructions for PLCR set-up, basic program navigation, creation of closed claim and aggregate reporting forms, submission of forms, and review of  forms.

How to Use PLCR Help

PLCR Help is designed to walk a new user through the entire process of creating a PLCR closed claim or aggregate reporting filing.  New users are encouraged to read through the material presented in this help system prior to creating or submitting filings.

Advanced users should feel free to use the topic tree or search field of the PLCR Help File to navigate to areas where help is most needed.
