Objectives:

Provide grant funding to the Local Emergency Planning Committees to conduct planning and exercise activities in order to mitigate the effects of a release or spill of hazardous materials and maintain compliance with sections 301 and 304 of the federal Community Right-To-Know Act and to local governments to conduct hazard analyses for those facilities located in their jurisdiction that store/handle hazardous materials.
