To provide funding to counties for enhanced 911 equipment.

Available only to Florida counties and then limited to allowable fundable expenditures specified in 365.172(10), F.S. with additional restrictions:
a) Salaries and associated expenses for 911 Coordinators. Telecommunicators, or other 911 personnel will not be funded.
b) Only first year equipment maintenance and warranty costs will be funded.
c) Training costs shall be limited to training for the specific 911 system equipment being funded.
d) Wireline database costs from the Local Exchange Carrier, vehicle expenses, will not be funded.
e) Private community/municipal copper and fiber cabling system build outs is not fundable.

Pre-Application Notice:
|
Prior to the reviewing of the grant applications, the board shall provide 90 days written notice to all counties and publish electronically.
