Objectives:
|
The purpose is to create an endowment matching funds program which will provide programming resources from interest earned to participating Cultural Sponsoring Organizations (CSO). When a qualified CSO raises $360,000 in eligible contributions, the State matches the local contributions with a state matching share in the amount of $240,000. The state matching share, when combined with the local match, creates an endowment fund for the CSO. The CSO invests the funds, and the interest which is generated on the investments is used for operating costs incurred while engaged in programs directly related to cultural activities.
