Florida Keys: Shovel ready projects related to the Florida Keys are formally submitted in the form of grant work plans for review and consideration by the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary's Water Quality Protection Program (WQPP) Steering Committee which is chaired by the DEP Secretary/Designee.

Florida Keys: The Water Quality Protection Program Steering Committee selects shovel ready projects based upon specific criteria, funding availability and detailed grant work plans. Award funds are provided from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) to local governments in the keys.

Varies - Typically, the application process starts at the beginning of each Fiscal Year and awards are typically completed before the midpoint of the Fiscal Year.
