Objectives:
|
To serve at-risk young adults between the ages of 15 to 21, targeting low-income neighborhoods in Miami-Dade County like South Miami, Goulds, Coconut Grove, Homestead, and West/East Little Havana within the high-risk zip codes. Participants will be required to attend the Life Skills and Employability Training.
Comprehensive Life Skills Workshops/Employability Training is aimed at preparing the inexperienced youth for the workforce. Employability Training will provide training on issued involved in finding and retaining employment such as: job search techniques, preparation of job applications, resume building, review of employer's expectations, handling a job interview, and work ethics. Career Advisors will conduct counseling and document participant progress in their file.
