The Request for Application (RFA) informs the recipient of the process and how to receive the award.

Application Procedures:
|
Applications and forms together with a signed statement certifying applicant's adherence to the General Terms, Assurances, and Conditions are submitted to the Florida Department of Education. The entity must submit a detailed proposal and budget summary.

Award Procedures:
|
Applications are reviewed according to programmatic criteria stated in the RFA and upon approval, applicants are sent an award notification. Funds cannot be encumbered until Form 1, Authorization to Encumber approval, is returned to entity by the Fixed Capital Outlay Office. The entity is able to request funds monthly by submitting Form FCO442 and DOE399. All necessary documentation for advance or reimbursement of funds such as invoices or proof of payment is required with Form DOE399.

Deadlines:
|
Funds must be encumbered at the local level within 31 months of appropriation, or they will be subject to reversion. The application deadline is provided in the RFA.
