Objectives:

The specific purposed to be achieved is to protect Florida retailers and retail customers from the violence and financial costs that result from organized retail crime (ORC). The goal is to provide the Office of the Attorney General with tools needed to successfully prevent, combat and prosecute cases of ORC.

The funds will be utilized to contract with a third-party vendor to host an intelligence sharing platform in support of the Florida Organized Retail Crime Exchange (FORCE). This platform is currently being utilized by 257 retail users and 525 law enforcement users. The purpose of the program is to support a public/private partnership (FORCE) to exchange intelligence in the fight against organized retail crime (ORC). The goal is to continue to successfully prosecute cross jurisdictional cases of ORC.
