A notice is sent out each fiscal year showing current areas of interest with guidelines on how and what information should be included in the research proposal. Example attached.

Each proposal received is reviewed by a committee and ranked based on a numeric system.

Application deadline is July 15th and the Applicants with high-ranking proposals are notified Aug 15th of each state fiscal year.

Budget for each fiscal year is based on Legislative approved allocation for the Invasive Plant Management and Wildlife Impact Section and Aquatic Habitat Conservation and Restoration Section within HSC.
