Introduction
The Professional Liability Claims Reporting
System (PLCR) was developed in spring of 2004 to replace the Insurer An entity licensed by OIR under Chapter 624 (p. III) or Chapter 641 (p. I) of the Florida Statutes. Closed
Claims System (ICCS) and provide additional aggregate reporting capabilities
not available in ICCS.
PLCR allows insurers and/or self-insured An individual or entity that has not purchased liability insurance. medical
facilities doing business in the state of Florida to electronically submit
closed claims and aggregate reporting information to the Florida Department
of Financial Services (DFS). Insurers
using PLCR can prepare and submit Directors & Officers Liability (D&O),
Lawyers Professional Liability (LPL), and Medical Professional Liability
(MPL) forms.
PLCR Help provides step-by-step instructions
for PLCR set-up, basic program navigation, creation of closed claim A demand for payment from a self-insured entity or an insurer for losses sustained by a claimant. and
aggregate reporting forms, submission of forms, and review of forms.
How to Use PLCR Help
PLCR Help is designed to walk a new user through the entire process
of creating a PLCR closed claim or aggregate reporting filing. New
users are encouraged to read through the material presented in this help
system prior to creating or submitting filings.

Getting Started
If you already have an existing I-File account
you can use your existing I-File User Name and Password to access PLCR.
If you
do not have an existing I-File account, you'll need to create
a new account by clicking the Create
a new account link in the PLCR Logon Task Bar (left side of the
screen under the PLCR logo).
To log on to PLCR:
Enter your User Name.
Enter your Password.
Click the Log
On button.
Note: Your PLCR User Name is the email address
you specified when setting up your I-Portal/PLCR account.
The PLCR Welcome Screen
The first screen to display
after logging on to PLCR is the PLCR
Workbench.
Forget Your Password?
If you forget your password:
Click the Retrieve
password link from the Welcome page.
Type in your email address
in the User Name field.
Click the Submit
button. An email containing your password will be immediately sent to
you.
